About Gladys Wood
AP® Calculus BC


Gladys Wood has taught both AB and BC Calculus for over 35 years in both public and private schools, most recently at Second Baptist School in Houston. She has BS and MS in mathematics from Texas A&M at Commerce. She has read for the AP Calculus exam for the past 14 years and is currently a BC Table Leader as well as consulting for the Southwest Region of the College Board by speaking at one-day and two-day conferences and AP Summer Institutes in AB and BC Calculus at many universities in Texas and Oklahoma. She has spoken for College Board International on Calculus topics in Nicaragua at a Conference of American Schools and in North Carolina on Vertical Teaming. In 2004, Gladys was the Southwestern Regional AP Special Recognition Award Winner, demonstrating long-term and multifaceted involvement with the AP program. After serving for 2 years as a National Leader for College Board she currently is a College Board National Mentor for Consultants, observing and cognitive coaching other consultants all over the United States most recently in Washington,D.C.
