About Sally Adamson
AP® Economics


Sally Adamson taught AP Macroeconomics & Honors Government at Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas (near Dallas) until June, 2011. She also taught Dual Credit Economics for the Dallas Community College District. A career educator with 35 years experience, Sally was the DHS Social Studies Dept Chair and District Social Studies Instructional Specialist. She has a BA from Southwestern University & a MA in Economic Education and Entrepreneurship from the University of Delaware. She served as an AP Economics reader for 6 years and has been a College Board consultant and AP Summer Institute instructor for 8 years. In addition, Sally was honored as District Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2005 and as the 2007 Outstanding Texas Secondary Economics Teacher by the Texas Council for Economic Education. In 2009 Sally was chosen to serve on the TX TEKS revision committee for economics and in 2010 she was trained as an international curriculum writer by the Council of Economic Education. In retirement, she has continued to teach AP workshops for the College Board and Personal Finance for the Texas Council for Economics Education.
