Join the hundreds of high school and middle school teachers who have received invaluable summer training through the Institute for the Advancement of Science Teaching. Our Advanced Placement® Summer Institute is July 26 - 29, 2010.  These institutes are led by an enthusiastic and dedicated group of experienced Advanced Placement® teachers from throughout the region. The courses are designed to accommodate beginning and experienced AP® teachers.

This year's Institute offers 16 subject area sessions for new and experienced AP® and Pre-AP™ teachers. All will benefit from the expertise of lead consultants with years of experience preparing students for Advanced Placement® exams. Each course will review the latest changes and shifts in emphasis in the AP® syllabus. Each year, AP® Institute participants leave with a renewed sense of enthusiasm as well as many creative and practical ideas for challenging their students in the coming year.

Fees:
The cost of a summer institute course is $500. A registration is not considered official until full payment has been received. Fees include course materials, daily lunch (M-Th), and snacks.

Certification and Attendance Policy :
Participants meet for thirty hours of instruction during the week (lunch and breaks are not counted in instructional hours). Participants must attend at least 90% (miss no more than three hours of instruction) in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Payment and Confirmation:
Registration is complete once we receive payment. We will e-mail or mail confirmation of registration to the registrant. If you do not receive confirmation within ten days of payment, please call our office (830) 899-3923) to confirm your registration.

Refund Policy:

• No refunds if cancellation is within three weeks of the workshop start date.
• There will be a 20% processing fee if the cancellation is before three weeks of the workshop start date.
